The trend in Italian dining has leaned to contemporary dishes, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but if you want good ol’ classic American-Italian or, better yet, Chicago-Italian, Rosebud is the perfect choice. We started with Italian sausage and peppers as an appetizer. Delicious! With some of their of that bread, you can easily make this generous dish a meal in itself. Chicken Vesuvio, a Chicago classic, was perfectly seasoned and perfectly sauced. Absolutely fantastic. Since I was already getting full after the appetizer, I changed my original plan and went with something light- the seafood salad. Again, a generous amount of seafood in a delicious vinaigrette that was perfect. I haven’t stopped thinking about it. Lucky for me, we’re going to be visiting again next week and this is already on our list of places to eat! Service was great! Our server was attentive and helpful with navigating our menu options. The ambiance of their recently remodeled space was comfortable and hinted to the rat pack era- very charming. We didn’t have dessert but we will this time! Beautiful desserts were being shared at tables all around us because yes, they’re also big and shareable! Can’t wait until next week!

I am big fan of Italian food but we went there for Mothers day Like they first impression is the last impression. Moment we entered our table was ready despite being a busy day and I loved the way they had put the menus on each chair and guess what they had a special menu for the Mother’s Day. We ordered couple drinks and an appetizer we started with garlic knots which were actually very good with the marinara sauce. We also requested for some white sauce so they made us a fresh warm Alfredo garlic sauce, which was amazing. We also ordered bruschetta - I didn’t like bruschetta because it had black olives, and I don’t like olives. Also ordered stuffed mushrooms and trust me those were very good In main course i ordered Orecchiette Sausage and Broccolini pasta but being vegetarian i got sausage removed and added mushrooms. It was decent On our table rest ordered Fettuccine Alfredo, Food was good, In the end we ordered Tiramisu- it was good. But we were so full.

Was a bit disappointed tonight with the manger in charge. There is a menu item called “Fish Salad”. The reality is that there literally is no fish in it. When i checked in, I read thru the ingredients and there was one item I couldn’t identify. The manager happened to be up front, said emphatically that was the fish item. I asked my server about it and the same manager was upset that i asked again and said that was indeed the fish. I got the dish and kept looking and tasting for anything that had the consistency or taste of fish. ZERO. then i googled the unknown item and it was a snail. I know fish very well because i have lived in Florida and other coastal regions for decades. It was clear to me that he did not know and he lied or that he knew he intentionally tried to deceive me. On the way out the same manager asked how it was and i said “it was good,l and i calmly shared with him that I googled and learned that the item he said was a fish is actually a snail, and that i was disappointed and felt that he possibly intentionally deceived me. Again, in soft tone and extremely respectful. He got very defensive and kicked me out of the restaurant just for possibly calling him out. That was tonight in case there is an owner or senior manager that cares. If i can add his “smug factor” is quite high. Perhaps that’s what you guys want. But if not, i think you should be aware.

We had a very nice time on mother's day. To be seated right away is always huge in my book. The food was good, came in a very timely fashion.

The fried calamari was light and really tasty. The lunch eggplant stack was also light and enjoyable. The gnocchi bolegnese was rich and prepared perfectly. The service from Nick was top-notch. A lovely lunch!
