I passed by, noticed the restaurant and made a u-turn. I decided to stop in for a late lunch. There was plenty of parking. The restrooms wereclean and stocked. The place was quiet, perhaps it was just after lunch but before dinner. I ordered one of the lunch specials. I added a salad. The bread was very good, warm and was served with soft butter, which l appreciated. The steak, which l ordered medium well, was well done and tuff. That was disappointing because usually their food is pretty good, however I will give them another try.

The greeter Kennedy was amazing! definitely the highlight for our visit. She also came back and made sure that I had the veterans Day menu as well as some other things. The rest of the experience could have been better. The food was okay, but my main concern during this visit was the service. Our server, Rose, seemed rushed and inattentive. My request for no bacon on my baked potato was missed, and my steak came back pink even though I asked for it to be cooked well-well done. My refill drink also was highly watered down, and there was some conflicting information on gift cards between the servers. Despite these issues, I still left a tip of over 20% based on the total of what I paid. Kennedy was the only bright spot this visit.☀️

The food is very good and I wish I could give a 4.5 star (5, to me means nothing could be done better). It was fresh, flavorful. The hot food was hot and the cold food was chilled. My husband and I both had the three course meals. He had the sirloin and I had the grilled shrimp. My husband ordered medium but got medium rare. As soon as he mentioned it, our server offered to take it back. He had already started eating so he declined. Speed of service was perfect. Our server was the bar tender doing double duty, and he was very attentive. He came over frequently to see if we needed anything but he didn't hover. The restaurant was clean. Parking was good enough. We found a spot where we didn't have to walk too far. The ambience was perfect for us to sit and have a dinner conversation. There were TVs available for people to watch sports, but the volume wasn't intrusive. We will definitely return but will check the steak first.

I requested my sirloin to have no seasoning on it. I come here regularly and have always done so. The steak I got had seasoning on it. I noticed specks of what looked like black pepper all over it but I have the benefit of the doubt and tried it anyway. I could taste the seasoning instantly. The waiter offered to get a new one and was respectful and believed me. A female manager, who I recognize but don’t remember the name of, came over and rudely told me that “there is no seasoning on the steak”. I told her that there was and I could taste it but she insisted on arguing and telling me that it was salt from the potato. Lady, I know what salt tastes like. And I also know it isn’t spicy. Regardless if it was because they accidentally put seasoning on it or they didn’t clean the grill, there was enough seasoning on it to make it miserable to eat for me. I don’t care if mistakes are made— we’re all human. But to have this alleged manager try to tell me a blatant lie and refuse to stand down was completely unprofessional. I could visibly see specks on the steak and you’re going to come over here and call me a liar? They gave me a new steak and obviously put it on foil when cooking it. I know that’s an option but the steaks taste better when they’re not on foil. I’ve been here plenty of times and rarely have problems with the grill being so coated in seasoning that it comes off on my own steak. Overall just unsatisfied with the manager’s behavior. She mentioned something about not wanting to waste food and yet she didn’t let me refuse a new potato when I said I already ate my original potato. So what side are you on? Because I could’ve not eaten that potato and caused even more waste. It seems the only time I meet hostility here is with this manager and I do not want her to address any issues I have with my food going forward. I am not here to waste time and make accusations that aren’t true. It tasted spicy. It had seasoning on it. Case closed.
