Los Burritos Tapatios – Where Portion Sizes Respect Your Time on Earth
If you are hungry — and I mean actually hungry — this is the place.
Los Burritos Tapatios is one of those classic neighborhood spots that reminds you why local restaurants still win. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with that familiar, comforting smell of real Mexican food: grilled meat, fresh tortillas, warm rice, and salsas that don’t play around.
The portions are legendary. These are burritos that require two hands, a strategy, and possibly a nap afterwards. Everything is made fresh, packed generously, and seasoned the way it should be. The meats are flavorful, the rice and beans are on point, and the toppings are always fresh and balanced. Nothing feels skimpy, rushed, or thrown together.
The service deserves its own applause. Friendly, efficient, and welcoming — the kind of staff that remembers you and treats you like a regular even on your first visit. Orders come out quickly, which is dangerous because you’ll want to come back more often.
And let’s talk about value. In today’s economy, finding food this filling and satisfying at a fair price feels like discovering buried treasure. You leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.
The vibe is casual, comfortable, and exactly what you want from a go-to Mexican spot. No pretension, no nonsense — just great food, great people, and a dining experience that feels reliable every single time.
Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch, feeding a hungry family, or recovering from a long day of adulting, Los Burritos Tapatios delivers every time.
Highly recommended. Come hungry. Leave victorious. 🌯🏆

If you want a good no-frills taco spot in Naperville, this is it.
I ordered the taco plate for a very affordable $10. The protein was ok & the al pastor had a nice crisp to it.
Complimentary chips with good salsa (the red, smoky salsa was by far my favorite) is always a plus
The dark horse for me was actually the chicken quesadilla. The photos don’t do it justice but for $4, it’s worth trying in my opinion.
Service was good & VERY quick. So if you come hungry, you will be fed on time!
Overall, I’d definitely come back

The location itself was fine, the food was fine, the service was fine.
Nothing noteworthy from start to finish. Burrito was fine, chilaquiles were okay but an odd level of spicy that I've never had on chilaquiles, flautas were thick and dry. Hibiscus agua fresca was pretty good, the highlight of my meal.
I thought it was funny and kind of bizarre that this restaurant serves their sour cream using individually packed Daisy sour cream packets.
Probably won't be back, even the leftovers didn't hit the spot 🤷🏻♀️
For my Muslim siblings who do want to try this place out for themselves, their refried/pinto beans are vegetarian, no pork.

This is not just another fast food place. They actually have table service. Good people, fast service. I would recommend tipping when you pay because they take care of you and deserve a tip.
We got steak chimichanga, which is basically a deep fried burrito. Not healthy at all by the way, but tastes pretty good 😊.
We also got steak tacos. Tacos are tacos and there’s not that much you can do with them differently. Having said that, also tasted pretty good and the presentation of the food was also done well.
I would definitely recommend trying out this place and giving this establishment a chance 👍
Btw, they have other locations around Chicagoland area as well so you can find one near you.

The steak meat was chewy and tough, even with it being diced up...and absolutely no flavor...had to load up the hot sauce for flavor...the girl at the counter wasn't attentive and I had to repeat my order 4 times, and then she accuses me for no paying for a drink - when I clearly asked for one. And the old lady, I guess the manager, didn’t smile or eye contact...what a disappointing experience.
Not going back, ever!!!
