Founded in 1992 by Restaurateur Scott Harris, Francesca’s Restaurant Group has grown from a small, welcoming Italian restaurant on Chicago’s North Clark Street to a restaurant group of six concepts across 23 locations and two states.
Francesca’s Restaurants is a neighborhood Trattoria offering classic Italian favorites in an ambiance of sophisticated comfort.
Davanti Enoteca is a lively wine bar and restaurant with shareable contemporary twists on rustic Italian cuisine.
Disotto is reminiscent of a wine cellar on the Italian countryside. Everything is cooked with love and from scratch—just like Nonna’s kitchen.
Fat Rosie’s Taco and Tequila Bar is a fun, hip, and festive family-friendly Mexican Taqueria featuring a modern take on traditional Mexican fare with small plates, shareable “street foods”, and endless tequila.
Joe’s Imports invites guests to uncork worldly bottles of wine from Joe’s curated selection of unique wines inspired by his travels, while passing plates of modern Mediterranean noshes. Joe’s goal is to take each guest on a vacation in a glass, through each sip of wine.
Vasili’s features hearth-cooked Mediterranean cuisine from the heart inspired by recipes from our Papou, passed through generations.
Across all concepts, the multi-unit restaurant group maintains its commitment to the original restaurant’s founding philosophy of Italian hospitality—where simple food with quality ingredients and thoughtful service make a meal.

First time coming here and was very pleased by the atmosphere. The first floor had a really nice bar and was well decorated! We sat upstairs for our dinner and it was cute and had a historic vibe to it! Our waiter, John was fabulous! Very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and although stuffed writing this post- already planning my return.
Such a charming spot! From the adorable nonna to the incredibly hospitable owners and staff, everything felt so inviting. My 11‑year‑old declared the mussels and lemonade “fantastic,” and honestly, he’s not wrong. This place is an easy 10/10. We’ll absolutely return next time we’re in town.
We came here for our first time - of all nights - for Christmas dinner and WOW! They did NOT disappoint. The food was excellent and the server, Evan, was outstanding and very attentive! We felt really welcomed after we sat down and were greeted by Evan. The eggplant was delicious. Make sure you don’t skip dessert! Save room!! You won’t be disappointed. Thank you, Evan, for the perfect ending to our Christmas evening.
I came here for my wife’s holiday work dinner. Our servers were attentive to us throughout though at times service was a little slow. The ambiance was pleasant; lower lighting & very sociable. It got somewhat loud after a while as there were multiple parties within the restaurant. We got seated upstairs which may have delayed the service at times. I generally felt like the food was bland- the bruschetta appetizer & my pollo Milanese especially. I did have a glass of Malbec which was lovely. I don’t live nearby & I respectfully wouldn’t care to return. If I could give half stars this place would receive 3.5.
10/10 hospitality. Thank you Donny and George and rest of the staff. Had a baby shower event here with Michael as the event coordinator. Everything went smooth and wonderful. Our guests loved that the foods were delicious. Will be back for more events and dinners / date nights. Drinks are amazing too. The management genuinely cares about your experience.
