I LOVE a good steak place that serves good a good bread service. This was not the place for me and my family. We are not big fans of sourdough bread. It has a horrible after taste. They are missing the mark on that. We also didn't like their fried calamari. It tasted like it came out of a box. What they served us, was not the same that was pictured on their website and/or Yelp! This was Christmas day, so I don't know if they went the cheap route or not, but it was not good at all. Very disappointed!! I consider myself to be a calamari connoisseur. I hope they fixed that!!
We also had the Tomahawk.. that was cooked perfectly and the taste was OK. I had the Seabass, and that was delicious. They sides were just ok. The drinks were ok, but, I'm a lite weight. Lol! Service was great. I don't remember the servers name, but he was great! They did remove the calamari from our tab. The three of us, my sister and niece enjoyed our time together for our annual Christmas dinner!! We just won't go back.

Eddie Merlot’s – Thanksgiving Surprise of the Year
When I made our Thanksgiving reservations, my expectations were somewhere between “meh” and “we’ll survive.” I wasn’t hoping for magic, just something edible and a chair to sit on. So imagine my surprise when Eddie Merlot’s delivered an experience that felt like Thanksgiving had put on its fancy shoes and decided to show off.
The décor was glowing, the whole place humming with warmth, and the staff made us feel like honored guests rather than strays seeking refuge from kitchen duty. Our server, Cordell, was genuinely wonderful, attentive, friendly, and blessedly unhurried. He gave us space to enjoy the meal without hovering like a helicopter on mashed-potato patrol.
And the food? Oh yes.
The King Crab & Corn Bisque was velvety and rich.
The roasted garlic mashed potatoes and sweet potato casserole tasted like someone’s very proud grandmother was working behind the scenes.
The turkey was moist, tender, and actually flavorful (a Thanksgiving miracle).
The asparagus and green beans were vibrant, crisp, and clearly not boiled into oblivion.
We ended with the triple chocolate cake, which would’ve reached full glory with a little warmth and a scoop of ice cream or cream, but hey, we took the leftovers home and showed it the respect it deserved.
For the record, they mix an outstanding Negroni, and the wine list means business.
We walked in with low expectations and walked out happily stunned.
We’ll absolutely be back, holiday or not.

This was my first time at Eddie Merlots. The atmosphere was perfect for family gatherings. Our server Frank was quite attentive to our needs. Service was prompt and food was delicious. I found another favorite to take my wife for special occasions.

This was the first visit for my wife and I. We were seated at 6 PM in a cozy booth. It was very quiet and intimate for about an hour. The restaurant got notably louder as the evening went on.
Service was excellent. Our server was attentive but not pushy.
We are planning a party for next week, with relatives from out of town, so we were there to see how good the food was and if we’ll be able to have a conversation during dinner.
The food: we started with the Filet Mignon potstickers which were interesting. We each had a Caesar salad. I thought that mine was too dry, not enough dressing. My wife’s salad included the lettuce core (it shouldn’t have been there).
She ordered the Filet Delmar which is a 4 ounce filet smothered in crab and shrimp. She ate every bit, she usually takes home half of her meals. She said it was equal to Morton’s though not quite as good as Ruth’s Chris.
I ordered a half pound of King Crab legs. I’ve had the same from Bob Chin’s Crab house and Shaw’s as well which was incredibly sweet. The Eddie Merlots crab did not come close. I suspect that it may have been frozen.
when we told the waiter that we were looking to make reservations in a quieter area, he showed us a private room that will be suitable. We will go back but I won’t order crab legs again.
