This was our first time here and the entire experience was amazing! Nick, our waiter, was friendly, helpful, and so much fun! His recommendations were spot on! We started with the crab cake and that kicked everything off in the right direction. The halibut was delicious and moist, the lamb shank just fell apart and was so flavorful! The desserts...were on a whole other level! The key lime cheesecake may be one of the best desserts I've ever had and the red velvet chocolate cake was just as amazing! The atmosphere was relaxing and upscale with a jazz band playing. Definitely a place to come back to!

Great food, music and romantic atmosphere. Wife and I stayed at Hotel Arista and made reservations for here. We were very pleased with our evening.
Our server Nick was very polite, knowledgeable about all of the menu selections. He gave us a wonderful recommendation for wine and made our date night even more to remember.

A lovely, impromptu girls’ evening landed us at City Gate Grille, and honestly, it was one of those why-don’t-we-do-this-more-often nights.
There was live jazz setting the mood, well-crafted Old Fashioneds doing their job beautifully, and just enough indulgent bites to keep us happily lingering. The French onion soup was rich and comforting, and the lamb sliders were downright amazing, tender, flavorful, and very easy to over-order.
The space itself is warm, sleek, and inviting, with a comfortable, good-looking bar that makes you want to stay for “just one more.” Service was friendly and attentive without hovering; exactly right for a relaxed night out.
Jazz, cocktails, good food, good company. City Gate Grille gets it. 🎷🥃✨

My husband and I ate here to celebrate after having our courthouse wedding ceremony and have no regrets! This restaurant was the PERFECT atmosphere for our celebration and party of 8. We couldn’t have been treated any better on our special day. The restaurant was so nice and quiet during our time there, as if we had the benefits of private dinning without actually booking for it. The employees and our waiter Scott made us feel so welcomed and comfortable, and even gifted us with complementary champagne and dessert. The menu was plentiful with options for everyone including children. Thank you CityGate Grille for the wonderful hospitality, we will be back! -The Jacksons

We wanted to try this place to celebrate our wedding anniversary which was very close to the hotel next door. The place looks very nice and elegant. The live jazz were very nice and sounded so relaxing. My wife ordered french martini and halibut for dinner. The martini were very good but the halibut were ok. I ordered an old fashion and filet medallion. The cocktail were great but the fillet medallion came out overcooked and dry. Our waiter (Nick) immediately took the plate back. After about 10 minutes, a lady came with the new plate and asked me to try it first. This time it was cooked better but she never apologized. After about 5 minutes, another lady came by and asked if my steak were better and I told her it was. She asked me if it was good and I said it was ok. She asked me if I wanted to try a different meal and I said no. By this time my wife were about half way done with her meal. I wasn't about to send my food back again and have another delay. She didn't offer any apology at all. We ordered key lime pie for dessert which was good. Our waiter told us that he gave us a free dessert but did not explain why. When he gave us the check, I noticed there were 2 separate charge for the fillet medallion. When I mentioned it to our waiter, before I could say anything he asked if I was charged twice as if he knew. He went back to correct the issue but again no apology offered. Needless to say, we did not have a good experience. We left the place feeling very disappointed. I'm sorry but we probably won't be back again.
