The birria tacos are packed with flavor!!! The rice must be Puerto Rican rice because it tastes like it! I was shocked for a second lol. The salsa is also really good too. I come here on my lunch break just for these tacos.

We have been going to El Famous for nine years and we will never go there anymore. Their steak taco prices are out of this world. Beef has gone up 15% yet their prices has more than doubled.. From $2.25 to now $5.20…. anyone paying that much for a taco anymore needs to get their head examined. I grew up in the neighborhood where El Famous first started it. Their price there in Chicago is not even this high .I had noticed some other El Famous Burrito stands are not as high as this one. It appears that when gas prices go up, they just think they can just increase their prices. The owner needs to re-examine this. Many of my neighbors have listened to what I’ve said, and they’re not going there anymore . soon I think people will catch on when they find out the price gouging that they are doing. I will also post this on yelp …people need to know. The quality of their food has gone down. Why pay more for less. The owner need not respond to me. There’s nothing you can say that will alter what I see. The truth is in the price ….bring it down.!!!!

Ordered two steak tacos on corn with cilantro and onion only and a large fries. Steak was tough however, the flavor was really good. French fries were cooked perfectly with a tasty seasoning. The carrots and peppers were bland no pickled or spice flavor. Staff were friendly and efficient. Restaurant was pretty clean.

Tostadas, to me, are the perfect comfort food. EFB set me up a fresh crispy flat corn tortilla with beans, PICADILLO, and choice toppings! Plus it’s clean and warm inside.
